Hello my name is Al Archuleta and I am a local Colorado Springs tennis coach with over 25 years of teaching experience and over 10 years of playing experience! I started coaching tennis when I was 15 as a sophomore in high school. I worked in at Albuquerque Country Club as the Assistant Club Pro for over a year and the club pro had me work with all 14 and under club members. I learned a lot then about teaching from the club pro which helped me also become a better player. I was certified as a USPTA Tennis Professional back in 1987.

Next, at age 21, I was hired as the head tennis instructor at the Mountainside YMCA. I taught juniors and adults in private and semi-private lessons and organized men’s and women’s competitive tennis leagues. I also was the Boys Head Tennis Coach at the local High School and the Girls Head Tennis Coach at a neighboring city. At age 26, I started my own tennis instruction business in the same small town, working mostly with juniors in private, semi-private, and group lessons, junior clinics, junior leagues, and some private adult lessons as well for over 6 years. I have worked as a Head Club Pro for a summer in Colorado, an assistant club pro in Nebraska and I founded and directed an 18 and under tennis tournament "The Belen Gold Cup" located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

For the past several years, I have been instructing children, teens, and adults in private and semi-private lessons in Albuquerque. In all, I have over 25 years of tennis coaching, teaching, and instructing experience as well as 4 years of competitive tennis play. I specialize in 4.5 NTRP level and under and would love to work with you as your Colorado Springs tennis coach and especially find youth and adults who love the game! I graduated summa cum laude in my bachelors studies in Coaching and Psychology and Magna cum laude in my Masters studies in Human Services Counseling and Coaching.

I am available to give tennis lessons locally around Colorado Springs at a court near you and I am also willing to travel up to 20 miles.
